The terms 'sjáumst' and 'skilluru' are some of Silvía's most well known habits of phrase. She can say 'skilluru' (actual spelling 'skilurðu' or 'understand', here meant as 'okay?') many times in each sentence. And at the end of each interview in her shows, Silvía says 'sjáumst' to the camera, or 'see ya'. Her show was called 'Sjáumst með Silvíu Nótt' or 'See ya with Silvía Night'.
